The tale of the search for a cup of tea in Stoke

Everything about this project is an experiment. Very little is turning out the way we expected it. We are changing and adapting it all the time. One of those adaptations is we realised we should include stories about what happens to us along the way in our shows.

Anyone can tell stories. A lot of people can tell stories much better than me. But most people haven’t walked from the source of the River Trent since Saturday. It’s our USP.

So here’s a story I told on Monday, at Aston Marina, about hunting for a cup of tea. Ross has made a nice little package, top and tailing it with a little bit of Dad singing Tales of the Trent.
